Lowering friction of wind and tidal turbine blades

By choosing another profile for the blades of windturbines some aerodynamic improvements can be reached. A raise in Cl (dimensionless lift coëfficiënt) with 6% and a reduction of drag coëfficiënt of 11% is possible. Possitive side effect is that also the stalling coëfficiënt raises with 18%.

Most blades for windturbines are made out of glass fibre cured in a die. Just changing the shape of the die makes it possible to reach above metioned improvements.
